Usually, items on the same subject will have similar call numbers. This makes searching — and browsing — easier for you.

Once you figure out the call number which best suits your topic, you might find that the books, magazines, and videos which cover your topic are shelved together.

It's more likely, however, that these media will be shelved separately —

  • books with books
  • magazines with magazines
  • videos with videos.

No matter how they're shelved, these media will have similar call numbers to each other because they all deal with "personal relationships".
