Why bother?

Give credit where credit is due, for these reasons:
  • you acknowledge the original author or source of the information
  • you enable your reader to evaluate the worth of the source
  • you enable your reader to follow-up on those sources him/herself.

CAUTION!

If you don't give credit where credit is due, you are guilty of a form of cheating called "plagiarism".

You may end up losing marks or losing the entire assignment!

So – cite your sources. After all, a healthy Bibliography or References List shows that you've done a solid research job.
