Guest Moderator: Greg Webb

Gregg Webb Greg is a relatively new-comer to education. After working more than 20 years in the information technology industry in various positions including applications programmer, systems programmer and manager of user services, he joined TAFE NSW in 1993 as a teacher of information technology. He now has a GradDipEd to add to his other qualifications of bachelor and master degrees in computer science.

Greg's long experience in providing IT customer services in large organisations coupled with recent educational theory and practice has put him in an advantageous position in understanding and developing online education.

Greg has developed two subjects for total online delivery and an online delivery platform. He currently teaches at Sydney Institute of Technology (SIT) but after the October break will spend two thirds of his time at OTEN, the open and distance learning college of TAFE NSW, managing the IT Internet-based delivery project.

Greg is the founder of the recently formed EdWebDev national mailing list which brings together online developers in the VET sector.
