How to participate in a Web Forum

No need to sign up

Simply open up the site, and depending on your learning style, have a lurk or dive straight in and have your say. Post your comments when your passions are aroused.

What you find

  • A series of messages in the Webforum listed by the subject.
  • Click on the subject and the message will open for you to read.
  • Go BACK or click on the MESSAGE LIST button to return to other messages to read them.
  • Responses to messages they are indented under the original message. They are also listed at the end of a message.

Posting a message

  • Click on the POST A MESSAGE on the opening screen.
  • Click on the button, RESPOND TO THIS POST, at the end of any message. A form will appear.

To prepare a new posting:

  • enter your name
  • enter your e-mail
  • the subject will be the same as the original message
  • type in your message. You will find a copy of the original message in the reply box. Only keep the relevant parts of the original message in your reply. Delete any unnecessary comments.

Long postings

If you have a long posting, first prepare it in a word processing package, then copy it into the Webforum. That way you can check spelling and layout more easily. Longer documents (more than 500 words) should be divided into two or more postings so that they are easier to read.

Click the POST MESSAGE button when your response is ready.

How to return to the Webforum each day

Bookmark the address. See the BOOKMARKS menu and click on ADD. That way you can go back to the forum at any time without typing in the address because it has been saved as a bookmark.
